One of the mysterious and amazing places of Bayanaul is the Konyr Aulie cave. It is one of the eight caves in the world named after Saint Konyr. Many also call it the abode of the Red Ilyas, Kyzyr Ata, the correspondent of the Kazinform agency reports.

This is a unique, sacred place located on the top of the Bayanauli Mountains, at an altitude of about 800 meters above sea level. Every day people visit the holy place. Experts say that the Konyr Aulie cave has a mysterious power that fulfills desires. The cave has an area of two rooms, the entrance to the cave looks at the sunset, the total length of the cave is about 25 meters. The air temperature inside remains the same, winter and summer.

According to a legend told by local elders, the Konyr Aulie cave has existed since the time of the Prophet Noah, the defender of the Earth, animals and birds. During the flood, three prophets of the Kazakh land allegedly did not manage to get into the saving Noah's ark, then, having made a raft, they tied it to the ship. However, during a storm, the raft hit a reef and broke away. The predictors ended up on logs, on which they escaped, but they were scattered in different directions. The log of the elder saint Kulan was the first to stumble upon a stone and come off. It was in the area of Kyzyl Tau mountain (also called Aulie tau). The second log of the middle aulie Kyran came across a stone, to Mount Akbet, the highest point of the Bayanauli Mountains. When the water began to subside and land appeared, the Konyr log caught on the Aktas ridge, which means White Stone, where it settles. In the crevice of this mountain there is a cave with a stone bowl.

The cave has long been considered sacred. Water accumulates in the pit at its bottom. People say that a person who drinks this holy water will be cured of various diseases and even women will get rid of infertility.
